History of Diwali festival:

Diwali  is a festival of joy and prosperity. There are many different stories behind the festival. Though people were angry at him, they could not do anything as he was the ruler. They then decided to take the help of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna defeated him in a battle and provided freedom to the people. The death of Narakasura is celebrated as Diwali.The ancient tradition is to wake up early in the morning, take oil bath, and wear new clothes.
